The TV docuseries Salsa Sana is the travel show of your dancing dreams, rooted in social commentary that celebrates physical movement. Telling stories through a local lens, Salsa Sana provides a glimpse into the true spirit of dance.
Part travelog, part documentary, and part dance education guide, Salsa Sana’s hosts spin through Latin America learning to dance with the best teachers in the world. At each location, the hosts meet with influencers & pillars of the local community to explore what drives individuals to dedicate their lives to the art of dance. Relive the rich history of street dancing and learn why it’s such an important practice post COVID-19.

The Gig
We are casting for a professional Latin dancer to join the cast of Salsa Sana for its first six-episode run. You will appear in each episode on camera in dance training and performance.
You’ll need to be available 5-10 hours per week for rehearsal. In September 2024, you’ll need to be available for 10 full days of filming, at hours to be confirmed.
Requirements:
- 5’10” – 6’ (177 – 183 cm) in height
- Resident of LA County with own transportation
- Ability to attend rehearsals Monday to Friday in Hollywood and/or Downtown LA at times designated by producers
- Legal to work in USA
- Fluent in English
- Previous dance contest winner (Latin or Ballroom)
- Minimum beginner experience in dancing the following styles: Salsa on 1, Salsa on 2, Salsa Cubano, Bachata (traditional and sensual), Cumbia, Cha Cha Cha
- Intermediate to professional experience in dancing Salsa on 1 or Salsa on 2
- Valid passport
- Ability to learn and retain choreography patterns
- Experience performing on camera
Bonus skills/experience:
- Experience teaching Latin rhythm classes
- AIDA qualification holder
- Conversational Spanish
Pay:
- All refusals will be paid an hourly rate of $35 per hour
- Pay for filming days is DOE
- Continued dance training provided throughout course of project
- Role will be fully credited & listed with IMDb
